  20. Should I take this to mean that fsck -2 doesn't change the filesystem
  21. to new format?  I had the impression that the upgrade 'package' (not sure
  22. about the correct term but anyway that upgrade-filesystem which was copied
  23. onto swap partition and then at boot time system got updated) did upgrade
  24. filesystems to new format... yes, I can read my NetBSD partitions
  25. from ADOS with BFFS1.4. No problems at all.

  27. But perhaps a real newfs instead of just changing things with fsck behaves
  28. differently... I guess I'm not going to try that (unless someone says
  29. that it would improve performance significantly - I can use another
  30. networked machine as a 'kernel storage').
